I’ve paid good money for bark chip mulch before and was glad to do it; it’s great for mulching trees and landscaping, and it can be composted for use in raised beds, pots, and seed starting mixes. Now I hope I’ve found a way to sign up to get free wood chips delivered to me with almost zero effort.
Getchipdrop.com helps connect folks like me who need chips for mulch with arborists and landscaping companies who need somewhere to dump them. It’s free and easy–check it out.
I signed up for a drop, but haven’t received one yet. That’s one of the few disadvantages of living in a rural area. I have, however, talked to some area tree cutting companies that will bring me chips and promised to subscribe to getchipdrop.com on the producer side. Hopefully that will help other folks like me in the area.
